This was one of those quilts that sat around, lingering, aging, while I found the motivation to finish it. The center portion of the top was a prize from a retreat for a group of Red Hat ladies (me, being a pink hatter). The pattern comes from Strip Pieced Quilts by Maikke Baker. The borders were my own invention. This may be one of the last quilts I put a conventional border on.
